This brass plaque measuring 5½” x 3¼” with scalloped corners, believed to be from the front of a Tyer’s Single Line instrument from Inside the Midland Railway’s Mansfield East Junction signal box which was located at the end of the Rolleston to Mansfield single line where the single lines to Mansfield North Junction and Mansfield South Junction signal boxes split.

As this Midland Railway cast iron signal leaver bears the engraved number “2” on an aluminium plate on the front and an engraved brass plate “From Mansfield Home”, on the side, it believed to have come from from Mansfield East Junction signal box (Can anyone confirm this?) It is painted red and black and measures 52” long.
